Kaimur police arrested two women along with jewelries worth about Rs. 13 lakh. The mother-in-law (saas) and the daughter-in-law (bahu) along with her minor son used to cheat people by deceiving people of their jewelries.

BHABHUA--------------------------Kaimur police arrested two women along with jewelries worth about Rs. 13 lakh. The mother-in-law (saas) and the daughter-in-law (bahu) along with her minor son used to cheat people by deceiving people of their jewelries. The arrested women were identified as Jeeramuni Devi wife of late Surendra Seth and Jyoti Devi wife of Umesh Seth of Darhak village under Ramgarh police station in Kaimur district. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Ramgarh police station in this regard. Later the police sent them to jail after interrogation and the police are investigating the matter.
Kaimur SP Harimohan Shukla said that Bindu Devi wife of Rajgrih Tiwari of Bhabhua Ward No 13 had lodged an FIR with the police under Bhabhua police station saying that she was going to her home in an e-rickshaw in the late evening on March 17, 2025 when her jewelries worth about Rs. 13 lakh was stolen. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and the SP formed a police team under the SHO Bhabhua police station Mukesh Kumar. The police examined the CCTV footage and arrested two women Jeeramani Devi and Jyoti Devi with the help of the e-rickshaw driver. The police also raided the house of the arrested women and recovered 105 gram and 760 mili gram of gold jewelries worth about Rs. 10 lakh and 3.294 kilogram of silver jewelries worth about Rs. 3.25 lakh, Rs. 41866 in cash and some foreign currency. The SP further said that the women used to sell the stolen jewelries to shopkeepers and get other jewelries in return. He stated that action is being taken against two shopkeepers who used to buy stolen jewelries. The SP appealed to the shopkeepers if anyone comes to sell gold and silver jewelries in large quantity, first check and keep some evidence with them so that in case of any untoward incident, they can be investigated and traced and action can be taken against the guilty persons.
