KAIMUR POLICE ARREST LIQUOR SMUGGLERS WITH 347 BOTTLES OF IMFL

BHABHUA (RNI) Kaimur police and the Sleuths of Excise Department, Bhabhua seized 347 bottles of IMFL from two different places and arrested two liquor smugglers.

Sleuths of Excise Department, Bhabhua arrested a liquor smuggler from Tiwayi village under Bhagwanpur police station in Kaimur district and seized 192 bottles of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL). The Excise police seized his motorcycle. The arrested liquor smuggler was identified as Hashim Ali son of Md. Anwar of Bhagwanpur village under the same police station. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Bhagwanpur police station against him under the New Excise Act and later he was sent to jail after medical examination.

Officials of the Excise Department said that the department got information that a motorcycle borne youth was smuggling liquor from Uttar Pradesh and was coming to Bihar. The Excise police at once swung into action and during vehicle checking drive near Tiwayi village under Bhagwanpur police station, the police intercepted a youth on motorcycle and seized 192 bottles of IMFL. The police arrested him and also seized his motorcycle. After that the police brought him to the Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for medical examination.

In another incident, the Kaimur police seized 155 bottles of IMFL Sadulahpur village under Ramgarh police station in Kaimur district and arrested a liquor smuggler. The arrested liquor smuggler was identified as Bechu Bind son of Bhaganu Bind of Sadulahpur village under Ramgarh police station in Kaimur district. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Ramgarh police station against the arrested liquor smuggler under New Excise Act and the police sent him to jail after interrogation.

SHO Ramgarh police station Umesh Kumar said that he got information that a liquor smuggler sells liquor from his house at Sadulahpur village under Ramgarh police station. He at once swung into action and conducted raid in a house at Sadulahpur village in the night and seized 155 bottles of IMFL. The police also arrested the liquor smuggler Bechu Bind son of Bhaganu Bind of Sadulahpur village under Ramgarh police station in Kaimur district.
