ARA------------------------------Nine day Srimad Bhagwat Katha has been organized at Mahavir Sthan Ramana on the occasion of Sri Sitaram Vivah Mahotsav.

Eminent Bhagwatacharya, Dr Bharat Bushann Ji Maharaj. Preaching on the first day, said that life is only for experiencing the joy of surrendering to God. The life of those who do not experience surrender gets entangled in depression, sadness and crisis whereas the life of those who remember God’s mercy is full of blessings and happiness. Stories and festivals make us realize and reveal the divine essence that is always close to us. Acharya said that only the grace-filled idol of God can be seen on earth in the form of saints, devotees and great men. Parmaradhyacharan Gopanganas tell Lord Krishna that the great men who narrate your story are the biggest donors of the universe and giver everything to the living beings. In the morning, the Navahana Parayan recitation of Sri Ram Charit Manas was done by the devotee under the leadership of Shashi Baba.

Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey said that the greatest strength is religion and added that above is the power of Brahm i.e. God below is the power of religion and in practice the power of scriptures is the real power. The one who does not have these powers is the weakest and helpless creature in the world. He further said that by taking shelter of any on the three, all three are attained. By following the scriptures one can understand the nature of religion and Brahm but without a Sadguru even the scriptures are not understandable. It we find a Sadguru in our life, we can understand the ultimate meaning of Vedas and Puranas, Dharma-Brahm in an easy manner. He said that in the beginning of Srimad Bhagwat, Lord Ved Vyas has invoked inn three verses. In the first verse, the glory of Brahm, in the second verse, religion and in the third verse, the glory of the scriptures has been described in detail. While Sutji Maharaj got a capable Sadguru like Lord Ved Vyas, eighty eight thousands sages of Shaunkadi got a traditional Guru like Sutji in the holy Chakratirtha of Naimisharnaya. Just as the outer darkness in dispelled by Lord Surya, similarly the darkness of ignorance is dispelled by the rays of the Sun like Sadguru.

Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey further said that celibacy is the great mantra of success in life and added that our religion is based on Varna and Ashram. The first is Brahmcharya Ashram in which it is necessary to study the Vedic Scriptures by following the Acharya of Vedic tradition, contemplate on Adhit Bhagavattattava and protect the manliness. He said that without the vow of celibacy, Brahmvidya can neither be attained nor sustained. Only hard physical labour, service, self-study and contemplation of Vedanta Veda Brahm by remaining in the shelter of Guru can keep the vow of celibacy intact.

Acharya said painfully that today’s education and livelihood system itself is teaching degradation of celibacy and in the name of free live, it is creating human beings inferior to animals and birds. He said that for a successful household life, one must observe a strict vow of celibacy for the first twenty two years. No task in the world remains impossible. Acharya said that God took the first incarnation in the form of Sank, Sanandan, Sanatan andn Sanatkumar and followed the vow of celibacy. Sankadi, Narat, Nar-Narayan etc are celibate sages while Lord Parshuram, Pitamah Bhisham etc. are celibate celibates. He added that marrying as per the Vedic tradition and entering Grihastha Ashram is also a kind of celibacy. Lord Sri Ram follows monogamous vow and Jagdamba Sita is monogamous. This is the ideal teaching of scriptures.
