JEWELRIES WORTH ABOUT Rs. 25 CRORE LOOTED, POLICE ARREST TWO MISCREANTS WITH FIREARMS AND RECOVERED LOOTED JEWELRIES
In a broad day light, about half a dozen armed miscreants entered the Tanishq Showroom near Gopali Chowk under Ara town police station today and decamped with the jewelries made of gold, silver and diamond worth about Rs. 25 crore. They also thrashed and injured the salesman Rohit Kumar. Within two hours after the robbery at Tanishq Showroom, police surrounded two criminals. Seeing them surrounded, the miscreants opened fire and after an encounter the police arrested both of them and also seized the looted jewelry in three bags. The robbery created ripples in the administrative circle.

They also thrashed and injured the salesman Rohit Kumar. Within two hours after the robbery at Tanishq Showroom, police surrounded two criminals. According to the press release, issued by the police, after carrying out the robbery, the miscreants were fleeing towars Chhapara via Doriganj. Taking quick action, the police tried to stop them near Babura Chhotipur. One of six miscreants on three motorcycles opened fire on the police. In retaliation, the police replied in the same manner in which two miscreants were injured. The injured miscreants were identified as Vishal Gupta son of Bhuneshwar Prassad of Dighwara in Saran district and Pradeep Kumar son of Kunal Kumar of Semra village, Sonor. The press release also said that the main accused are being identified and an SIT has been formed to search for the remaining absconding miscreants. The entire gang will be exposed very soon.
Store Manager, Kumar Mrityunjay said that at least seven armed miscreants one of them had covered his face with mask, entered the showroom as a customers when jewelries were being displayed on the counter and made captives all the staffs and customers at gun point. They also made captive the guard Manoj Thakur at pistol point at the gate of the showroom. They looted all the jewelries at the counter and when protested thrashed the salesman Rohit Kumar and also injured him. Later they decamped with the booty. Police rushed to the spot and started identifying the miscreants with the help of the footage of the CCTV. The police also lodged an FIR with the police under Ara town police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
The guard Manoj Thakur said that the showroom was opened at about 10am today when some armed miscreants came in a car and parked the vehicle at other side of the road and tried to enter the showroom. The guard said that as per the rule of the showroom more than four persons are not allowed in the showroom together. He only allowed two persons inside the showroom. The sixth miscreants put pistol on his head and tried to snatch his arms. Later they entered the showroom and put all the jewelries of gold, silver and diamond in bags and thrashed the salesman. Later they decamped with the booty.
Bhojpur SP Mister Raj said that a police team has been formed under the ASP Parichay Kumar. Meanwhile, the police encountered with the miscreants near Babura under Badahara police station and exchanged fire in which two miscreants were injured and arrested and both of them were admitted to the Ara Sadar Hospital.
The SP said that the miscreants had looted jewelries from the Tanishq Showroom near Gopali Chowk under Ara town police station today. He ordered all the SHOs for intensive vehicle checking drive. Photographs received from the CCTV footage have been posted on WhatsApp. When the SHO Badahara police station was checking vehicle on the Babura Chhotaki Bridge, six youths on three motorcycles were seen going to Doriganj via Ara-Babura. The police tried to intercept them but they speed up the motorcycle. The patrolling party chased, the miscreants dashed the patrolling vehicle and tried to escape. Later they left the motorcycle and fled towards Babura Bindgawa outskirt. The miscreants also fired on the police. The police had to retaliate in the same manner in self-defense in which two miscreants received bullet injuries and were injured whom the police arrested and admitted to the Ara Sadar Hospital. The police also seized two pistols, 10 live cartridges, one motorcycle and looted jewelries packed in three bags.
