JD(U) MLC, Radha Charan Sah alias Seth Jee, accused of illegal sand trade and money laundering, was sent to Beur jail under 14 days judicial custody and after that he would be produced in the court whence the Enforcement Department (ED) will try to take him on remand for interrogation.

ARA----------------------------JD(U) MLC, Radha Charan Sah alias Seth Jee, accused of illegal sand trade and money laundering, was sent to Beur jail under 14 days judicial custody and after that he would be produced in the court whence the Enforcement Department (ED) will try to take him on remand for interrogation.
The ED had arrested Radha Charan Sah alias Seth Jee from his farmhouse situated at Anaith Bihari Milla at Ara after marathon raid and interrogation but he could not reply satisfactorily. The Income Tax and the ED had already conducted raids at dozens of places in the country of Seth jee and had seized relevant papers and documents and diaries containing code words. The ED would send it to the Forensic Science Laboratory for decoding. Earlier the ED had interrogated Radha Charan Sah and his son Kanhaiya at its Patna office. The ED produced him in the MP-MLA court and he was sent to the jail under judicial custody. A special team of the Ed had grilled Radha Charan Sah the whole night at Ara and questioned about accumulating money from the illegal sand trade. During the interrogation, Radha Charan Sah repeatedly said that he was ill and asked to go to wash room. He was grilled for about 12 hours on installment. In the MP-ML:A court, the advocate of Radha Charan Sah said that he was suffering from several diseases and had some chest pain since night and so he should be admitted to the medical ward of the jail. The ED did not oppose it. The court said that the jail doctor would examine Radha Charan Sah and if he had some health issue, he would be shifted to the medical wards of the jail.
