JD(U) BLOCK PRESIDENT SHOT DEAD

Ara, 8 March 2023, (RNI): Some armed miscreants shot dead Tarari block president youth JD(U), Deepak alias Bhikhari Singh 32 son of Krishna Singh at Fatehpur Bazaar under Sikarhatta police station in the late evening on March 7, 2023. The deceased was a resident of Kurmuri village under Sikarhatta police station in Bhojpur district. Police brought the body to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR was lodged with the police under Sikarhatta police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. 

SHO Sikarhatta police station Pawan Kumar said that Deepak alias Bhikhari Singh lived in his new house at Fatehpur Bazaar. On March 7, 2023, he had some quarrel with some persons at the Fatehpur Bazaar over drinking of cold drink. They also had some tiff on mobile and Deepak was threatened with dire consequences.

Abhishek Kumar, brother of the deceased said that he had gone to Piro on March 7, 2023 and his brother Deepak alias Bhikhari Singh used to sit at the door of the house as ever. When he returned late night the same day, he found that his brother was lying on pool of blood. He rushed him to a private nursing home at Piro but the doctor referred him to the Ara Sadar Hospital in precarious condition but he succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.
