INTERMEDIATE STUDENT AND BROTHER OF AN SI SHOT DEAD

ARA----------------------Some unidentified armed miscreants shot dead a student of Intermediate at Jagdeonagar Gali No 1 under Nawada police station in Bhojpur district in the night on January 17, 2024 and escaped. The deceased was identified as Aman Kumar 23 son of a retired army man Ram Kumar Singh and brother of an SI Amit Kumar of Tilak Nagar, Katira under Nawada police station. He was originally a resident of Nathmalpur village under Badahara police station in Bhojpur district.The police rushed to the spot and started investigating the matter. The police also brought the body to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Tension prevails in and around the area following the incident. Police are also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. Police also recovered a blank cartridge form the spot. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. Amit Kumar elder brother of the deceased is an SI posted at Simdega police station in Jharkhand.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that the police got information for firing at Jagdeonagar area under Nawada police station in the night on January 17, 2024. The police under the ASP Chandra Prakash rushed to the spot and knew that some unidentified armed miscreants pumped bullet into the head of Aman Kumar from behind. The injured was rushed to the Ara Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. He further said that the initial investigation has revealed that a criminal named Aman Chaudhary who lives in his colony, had called Aman Kumar Singh and along with other several boys, went to Jagdeonagar to quarrel with some boys there where during the quarrel and firing, someone pumped a bullet into the head of Aman Kumar from behind the injured him. Later Aman Kumar Singh succumbed to his injuries at the Ara Sadar Hospital during treatment. The SP added that the preliminary investigation has also revealed the names of some boys of criminal nature who used to live together but have recently had a dispute among themselves over some issues.

Sanjay Singh, elder brother of the deceased said that he earlier lived in the house of the deceased on rent but about 12 years ago he built his own house and shifted in it. He stated that he saw him coming out of the house at about 3pm. Meanwhile, someone informed him on mobile in the night on January 17, 2024 when he was sleeping in his house that about half a dozen boys shot dead Aman Kumar Singh at Jagdeo Nagar Gali No 1. He stated that two groups had clashed and also pelted with stones on one another at Jagdeo Nagar Gali No 1 in the night on January 17, 2024 in which window Pan of two Scorpios parked there and glass of window of a house were badly smashed. The locals said that during clash and brick batting, they fired in the air also and later shot dead Aman Kumar Singh. He said that he did not knew the reason of the murder and also did not know as to who killed him. Sources said that boys who lived in the house which window glass was smashed and boys of other groups had clashed.
