BUXAR----------------------------Innumerable sources of Indian History, be it be ancient period, medieval period or modern, are present in the rural areas of Buxar in Bihar. These things came to light in the 11th Creative History Conference organized at Achary Shiv Pujan Sahay’s village Unwans jointly under the courtesy of Rangashree Parampara/JNU Scholarship and Buxar School of History.

Devendra Chaubey, famous writer associated with rural history writing said that it is difficult to understand the entire history of contemporary India without understanding the rural history of Buxar.  

While delivery the 11th Ramayan Chaubey Memorial Public Lecture, famour writer, Dhannu Lal Prematur, said that the history of Buxar region is the history of the memories of the public society. Historian Rashmi Chaudhary, while remembering the poet Kumar Nayan, mentioned the social context of Buxar present in his writings. Journalist Shashank Shekhar, poet historian Laxmikant Mukur, Vairagi Prabhash Kumar Choubey also spoke on the occasion.

Presiding over the programme, thinker advocate Rameshwar Prasad Verma said that Kumar Nayann was a living history of Buxar region. During the programme, the October issue of Itihas Samachar published by Creative History and Laxmikant Mukul’s book ‘Yatriyo ki Nazariye me Shahabad’ were released.

Conducting the programme, young scholar Dr Chhaya Choubey said that to document the history of Buxar region, a history pillar will soon be constructed on the banks of river Ganga at Ahirauli, saint Gautam’s penance place, by the Creative History.
