INDISCRIMINATE FIRINGN DURING DANCE PROGRAMME OF BHOJPURI SINGER TUNTUN YADAV

ARA--------------------------A video of indiscriminate firing at a tribute meeting in Bhojpur district has become viral on social media platform. Police are investigating the matter. Hundreds of rounds of bullets were fired at Bhim Patti Belvania village under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district during the programme of Bhojpur singer Tuntun Yadav. Some youths were seen waving rifles and firing in the video. Singer Tuntun Yadav also was scared. As soon as the firing started, both the female dancers present on the stage went inside. However, the presence of singer Tuntun Yadav is visible. Some people were standing around him and among them two boys were firing in quick succession.

The incident of firing took place during the tribute meeting of Jagwali Yadav. Bhojpuri artitsts were called to perform in this programme in which Tuntun Yadav also had come. It is seen in the video that two youths were firing on the stage with rifles in their hands. The dancers and singers were terrified but they continued firing fearlessly.

Villagers said that firing continued throughout the night. The police did not even get a clue of the incident that put a big question mark on the efficacy of police. Amidst all this, the police claim that they were not aware of the incident whereas in the age of 112 patrolling, lack of such information also raises questions.

Fear psychosis prevails in and around the area following the incident. A big question mark is put before the working of the police.

Bhojpur SP Mister Raj said that the video is being investigated and action will be taken after that. An FIR has been registered against five persons including three named under the Arms and Loudspeaker Act. He said that police are conducting raids to arrest the persons.
