IN EXCHANGE OF FIRE IN BETWEEN POLICE AND MISCREANTS, TWO PERSONS INJURED
In a broad day light, one police person and a miscreant were injured in an exchange of fire in between the police and the miscreants. The injured were admitted to the Ara Sadar Hospital.
Ara, 11 May 2023, (RNI): In a broad day light, one police person and a miscreant were injured in an exchange of fire in between the police and the miscreants. The injured were admitted to the Ara Sadar Hospital.
SHO Ara town police station said that an employee of a petrol pump was going to the State Bank of Indian at M P bagh under Ara town police station to deposit money when at least five armed miscreants snatched Rs.4.5 lakh. Meanwhile, the police reached there and shot at and injured a miscreants and recovered the money Seeing the police, the miscreants started firing on police force. The police had to retaliate in the same manger and at least 20 rounds were fired. In an exchange of fire, one police constable also received bullet injury and was injured. The injured police constable is identified as Arjun Kumar son of Ram Badan Mandal of Kantpura under Ram Nagar police station in Munger district. He is posted in the Ara town police station.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that onwer of a petrol pump situated at Katira locality under Ara Nawada police station had come to the State Bank of India Aranya Devi Mirganj branch near Arya Samaj Mandir beside the Ara town police station to deposit the money. As he alighted from his Bolero car, near the bank, a boy came and snatched the bag full of money at pistol point and escaped. The SO further said that some police personnel of cross mobile who were patrolling in the area, gheraoed the boy to prevent him from fleeing. At this the miscreants fired several times and a bullet hit a police constable and injured him. The police also retaliated and a miscreant was also injured. The SP further said that the police are trying to know the gang and the boy who snatched the bag of money was captured in the CCTV and the police recovered the bag of money. The associates of the boy escaped on motorcycle. The police have cordoned off the entire area and sealed the borders.
Sushant Kumar Jain son on Rishabh Kumar Jain, owner of the Vinayak petrol pump said that he had gone to the bank to deposit about Rs. 5 lakh in the bank and as he was about to enter the bank premises, one miscreant snatched the bag of money at pistol point and escaped towards a lane. He fired with the licensed pistol but the miscreant succeeded in fleeing.
