HUSBAND OF MUKHIA SHOT DEAD IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

Ara, 14 May 2023, (RNI): Some unidentified armed miscreants pumped three bullets into the head of Mahendra Yadav alias Munna Yadav, 45 husband of Mukhia, Western Gundi panchayat, Amravati Dei under Krishnagarh police station in Bhojpur district in the afternoon today and escaped from the scene. The deceased was son of Ram Prasad Yadav of Babhangawsa village under Krishnagarh police station. Irate villagers attacked the house of the miscreants and vandalized. They collected all the goods and set them ablaze outside the house. The villagers also blocked the Ara-Saraiya main road and paralyzed movement of vehicles. They burnt tyres on road and raised slogans against the district administration. They were demanding arrest of miscreants at the earliest. Police officials tried to remove the blockade but the villagers were adamant to call the SP. Heavy police force stationed at the spot to keep vigil on the situation. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. Election dispute is said to be the cause behind the incident. 

Ankush Kumar, son of the deceased said that his father Munna Yadav had gone to the Krishnagarh police station in the morning today on his bullet motorcycle for mediation in a case which was lodged in the village. When he was returning from the Krishnagarh police station, some armed miscreants pumped four bullets into his head at Saraiya Bazaar under Krishnagarh police station and killed him. He blamed the former Mukhia, Western Gundi, Anshu Upadhyaya, Dhan Jee Yadav, Sabhapati Yadav, and others for filing fake case and firing on his mother last Holi and killing his father.

The entire incident is captured in the CCTV which showed that Munna Yadav was going on his motorcycle while the armed miscreants chased and fired on him. Due to firing, Munna Yadav lost balance and fell to the ground. Then a miscreant pumped one bullet into his head and later the second miscreant pumped three more bullets into his head and killed him on spot and fled away from the spot.

It may be mentioned here that some miscreants had shot at the present Mukhia, Western Gundi, Umravati Devi and wife of the deceased on March 19, 2022 and also pumped four bullets into the body of Munna Yadav. They were admitted to a private nursing home at Ara and were rescued at that time.
