HUSBAND KILLED WIFE, TRIED TO COMMIT SUICIDE

BUXAR------------------------Husband cut off his wife with an axe and also tried to commit suicide after consuming poison at Kajipur village under Simari police station in Buxar district. The deceased was identified as Mamata Devi 25 wife of Chhathu Yadav of Kajipur village. The police recovered the body and brought it to the Buxar Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted Chhathu Yadav to the Sub-Divisional Hospital at Dumraon where his condition is stated to be critical.

Villagers said that Chhathu Yadav had a tiff with his wife Mamata Devi and in a fume he attacked his wife with an axe and killed her. Realizing that his wife was dead, he also consumed poison to commit suicide and went to a village garden where he slept. Later the village informed the police about the incident. The SHO stated that the real cause of incident could be said only after thorough investigation.
