A married woman lodged a named FIR against her husband and in-laws for torturing her. After institution of FIR, police are investigating the matter.
Buxar, 12 May 2023, (RNI): A married woman lodged a named FIR against her husband and in-laws for torturing her. After institution of FIR, police are investigating the matter.
Quoting the FIR, the SHO Woman police station Kanchan Kumari said that Gudia Kumari daughter of Bhagwan Rai of Simri police station area in Buxar district was married to Om Prakash Rai son of Suryabali Rai of Bhatwalia village of Kaimur district in the year 2014. Since marriage, Om Prakash Rai always tortured her saying her ugly. She also had a son with the marriage but the behaviour of the in-laws and even the husband did not change. Her in-laws started thrashing her and at last the husband dragged her out of the house saying that she was ugly. She tried to solve the problem at local level but failed. At last the Gudia Kumari lodged an FIR with Woman Police station against her husband Om Prakash Rai, father-in-law Suryabali Rai, mother-in-law, brothers-in-law.
