SASARAM-----------------------Motorcycle borne husband and wife were killed while his mother-in-law was injured when a speeding vehicle collided head-on with the motorcycle on the Chausa Canal Bridge on NH-319 under Dinara police station in Buxar district. The deceased were identified as Deepak Pal and his wife Khushi Kumari of Ram Nagar under Sonbarsha police station in Buxar district presently living at Badka Laat under Dinara police station in Rohtas district while the injured was identified as Sharada Devi of Jamrodh village under Dinara police station and mother-in-law of Deepak Pal. Later the police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there.
SHO Dinara police station Vinay Kumar said that Deepak Pal along with his wife Khushi Kumari and mother-in-law Sharada Devi had gone to Sasaram for treatment on motorcycle. When he was returning Badaka Laat, a speeding vehicle collided head-on with his motorcycle on the Chausa Canal Bridge on NH-319 under Dinara police station in which Deepak Pal and his wife Khushi Kumar were killed on spot while Sharda Devi was injured badly. The SHO further said that the police seized the vehicle bearing registration number BR 24GC 2894 and also arrested the driver of the vehicle Ajit Kumar Singh of Parmeshwarpur village under Maliabagh police station. Deepak Pal along with his wife Khushi Kumari lived with maternal uncle at Badaka Laat and as all the members of his in-laws worked in Kerala and so his mother-in-law Sharada Devi also lived with him.
The houses of maternal uncles of Deepak Pal son of Munna Pal of Ramnagar village under Sonbarsha police station in Buxar district and Khushi Kumari if Jamrodh village under Dinara police station are at Badaka Laat village under Dinara police station. Both frequently visited their maternal uncles from their native villages and both met and fell in love and later tied nuptial knot about six months ago. As Deepak Pal’s family members were against this marriage and so he lived with his maternal uncle since the marriage.
