HEROIN WORTH ABOUT Rs 50 LAKH SEIZED, TWO DRUG PEDDLERS ARRESTED
Kaimur police, acting on a tip off, seized 510 grams of Heroin worth about Rs. 50 lakh in the international market and arrested two drug peddlers from near Awahariya village Durgawati police station on NH-2 in Kaimur district
Bhabhua, 12 April 2023, (RNI): Kaimur police, acting on a tip off, seized 510 grams of Heroin worth about Rs. 50 lakh in the international market and arrested two drug peddlers from near Awahariya village Durgawati police station on NH-2 in Kaimur district. The police also seized a motorcycle. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Durgawati police station in this regard against the arrested drug peddlers and sent them to jail after interrogation. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest other members of the gang of drug peddlers. The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Manoj Singh Yadav alias Manoj Yadav 32 of Babhanauli village under Gajipur police station and Chandrajeet Yadav of Jangipur police station in Gajipur district in Uttar Pradesh.
Kaimur SP Lalit Mohan Sharma said that he got information that some drugs were going to Uttar Pradesh with a big consignment of Heroin via Durgawati. He at once formed a police team that conducted raids under Durgawati police station area. The police team intercepted a motorcycle born two persons but they tried to escape. Though the police chased and arrested them and when searched, the police seized 510 grams of Heroin worth about Rs. 50 lakh in international market. The police arrested both the drug peddlers and the bike along with Heroin.
