HALF A DOZEN PERSONS INJURED IN GROUP CLASH IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

At least half a dozen persons received bullet injuries and were injured in a group clash at Bihata village under Imadpur police station in Bhojpur district and were admitted to the Ara Sadar Hospital where their condition is stated to be under control.

Ara, 23 April 2023, (RNI): At least half a dozen persons received bullet injuries and were injured in a group clash at Bihata village under Imadpur police station in Bhojpur district and were admitted to the Ara Sadar Hospital where their condition is stated to be under control. The injured were identified as Yash Kumar alias Ram Jee 8, Satyam alias Bharat Kumar 6, Nishi Kumari 16, Goldi Kumari 18, Sundarkalo Devi 75 and Vishnu Singh 40. An FIR was lodged with the police under Imadpur police station in this regard on the statement of Ram Lal Singh and the police arrested Syamakant Singh and his Shubham so far. Police are investigating the matter. Police are camping there to keep round the vigil on the situation to maintain law and order in the area. Tension prevails in and around the village following the incident though the police claimed that situation in well under control.

Piro SDPO Rahul Singh said that a building was being constructed at Bihata village under Imadpur police station in Bhojpur district when Syam Lal Singh, Ramakant Singh, Syamakant Singh, CRPF personnel Shiv Jee Singh, Shubham Singh and queried about the ongoing construction work and started abusing unprovoked dictating to stop the work. A lively discussion ensued in between them and hearing cry, women folk and children gathered there. Meanwhile, they fired about 30 rounds and bullets hit Yash Kumar alias Ram Jee 8, Satyam alias Bharat Kumar 6, Nishi Kumari 16, Goldi Kumari 18, Sundarkalo Devi 75 and Vishnu Singh 40 and injured them. On information Piro SDPO Rahul Singh, SHO Imadpur police station Om Prakash, SHO Tarari police station Vijay Kumar, SHO Sikarhatta police station Pawan Kumar, SHO Sahar police station Manindra Kumar Singh along with heavy police force rushed to the spot but the accused persons had escaped from the spot.

The SDPO confirmed that people of a group had fired in which at least half a dozen persons were injured. Land dispute is said to be the cause behind the incident. Police had arrested two persons so far in the regard and police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the rest accused persons.
