GYMNASIUMS RUN WITHOUT REGISTRATION AT ARA

Ara, 7 June 2023, (RNI): Gymnasiums have emerged out like mushroom at Ara, headquarter of Bhojpur district without registration right under the nose of district administration and thus gnawing at the state exchequer.

Over a dozen Gymnasiums are running at Ara without registration and following standard set for a gymnasium and thus are presenting threat to the people going there.

With the change in life style, boys and girls have become health conscious and they prefer gymnasium instead taking healthy food, yoga, exercise, morning walk, running. They think that gymnasium is easy to maintain their health. Taking advantage of people mind set and psychology, gymnasiums are being opened at every nook and corner of Ara. Though these gymnasiums do not have expert physical trained trainers and they also lack all necessary equipment. A gymnasium must have 15 machines including treadmill, bench press, leg press, cable crossover, pack deck, butterfly, Late pull down sit up bench, two normal benches, deep bar preacher bench, six yoga mats, skipping ropes, six big and small rods, eight pairs of dumbbells of different weight, stands, light, AC and fans but most of gymnasiums lacked these facilities. They also do not maintain security standard fearing accident anytime.

As per the guidelines, before starting a gymnasium, the owner must get license and register it. It is considered a service and registration is must. Without registration, government exchequer is at great loss.

ADM Manoj Kumar Jha said that gymnasium cannot be run without registration and if it is so, stern action would be taken against the owners of these gymnasiums after thorough inquiry.
