A programme was organized to mark the Sri Guru Prunima under the banner of Sri Sanatan Shaktipeeth Sansthanam and Sanatan-Sursari Seva Trust at Friends Colony. Prof. Baliraj Thakur presided over the meeting. On the occasion, the entire Guru tradition starting from Lord Ved Vyas Ji to Lord Sriman Narayan was worshiped. Prayers from Vedic Mantras and Purana discourses took place on the occasion.

ARA (RNI) A programme was organized to mark the Sri Guru Prunima under the banner of Sri Sanatan Shaktipeeth Sansthanam and Sanatan-Sursari Seva Trust at Friends Colony. Prof. Baliraj Thakur presided over the meeting. On the occasion, the entire Guru tradition starting from Lord Ved Vyas Ji to Lord Sriman Narayan was worshiped. Prayers from Vedic Mantras and Purana discourses took place on the occasion.

Shiv Das Singh inaugurated the seminar. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the need of a Guru is lifelong. One anno take even a step without a Guru. Vishwanath Dubey, Brahmeshwar Dasaundhi and Madheshwar Nath Pandey said that lord Ved Vyas incarnated on Ashadh Purnima only. He is the guru of gurus and a pioneer of Sanatan Indian thought and literature. Shashikant Tiwari said that all the elders and superiors in the society are revered and respected. Their respect is the reason for our progress. Nilesh Kumar Mishra said that service to mother, father and preservation of values is the message of Lord Ved Vyas.

Prof. Baliraj Thakur said that the debt of one who has imparted even a little knowledge in life cannot be repaid. He said that the existence of society is based on education. Education is obtained not only from texts but also from the behaviour of home, family and society, from the experience of elders and from self-reflection. Guru provided the behaviour of the larger family and the right path of life. Guru Purnima reminds us of our gratitude towards the great men who removed the darkness of life and created the illuminated path.

Kumar Saurabh welcomed the distinguished guests while Narmadeshwar Upadhayaya conducted the meeting and Satyendra Narayan Singh extended vote of thanks.
