ARA--------------------------Bhojpur police arrested an elderly woman from Ward No 10 under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district and sent her to jail in connection with murder of her three month old granddaughter. The arrested woman was identified as Gita Devi. The police also recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
SHO Bihia police station Aditya Kumar said that a auto-rickshaw driver Raju Sah’s mother Gita Devi and wife Sita Devi of Ward No 10 under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district quarrelled over trivial matter in the evening and a three year girl child was killed during the scuffle. Finger print was found on the neck of the girl which clearly showed that she was strangulated to death. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Bihia police station in this regard against the grandmother Gita Devi on the statement of the mother of the deceased Sita Devi. Later the police arrested the grandmother Sita Devi and sent her to jail.
