A grand Bhojpuri Mahotsav 2025 was organized at Veer Kuer Singh Stadium, Ramana Maidan, Ara under the joint aegis of the Department of Art, Culture and Youth, Government of Bihar and Bhojpur District Administration with the main objective to promote Bhojpuri language, its art, culture and traditions. Bhojpur District Magistrate, Tanay Sultania, Deputy Development Commissioner, Dr. Anupama Singh, District Land Acquisition Officer, Sub-Division Officer, Ara and other senior officials of the district jointly inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial candle.

ARA--------------------------A grand Bhojpuri Mahotsav 2025 was organized at Veer Kuer Singh Stadium, Ramana Maidan, Ara under the joint aegis of the Department of Art, Culture and Youth, Government of Bihar and Bhojpur District Administration with the main objective to promote Bhojpuri language, its art, culture and traditions. Bhojpur District Magistrate, Tanay Sultania, Deputy Development Commissioner, Dr. Anupama Singh, District Land Acquisition Officer, Sub-Division Officer, Ara and other senior officials of the district jointly inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial candle. Local school students and artists gave colourful cultural presentations which included folk songs, dance and drama. Education Department, Namami Gange, Jeevika, Sudha Dairy, drawing, painting, food and other government departments set up their stalls. Interesting books and comic books for the youth were distributed free of cost at the Namami Gange stall through which an effort was made to increase environmental awareness among the youth.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhojpur DM Tanay Sultania said that for the first time in Bhojpur district, the district administration has organized the Bhojpuri Mahotsava with the objective to give a new identity to the Bhojpuri language and its rich art style. He said that Bhojpuri does not need any introduction but to get it recognition at the national level and added that people will have to adopt it as much as possible in their daily lives.
A Kavi Sammelan was also organized on the occasion. Poets Om Prakash Mishra, Deepak Singh, Rakesh Guddu Ojha, Shalini Ojha, Rupendra Mishra and Vikas Kumar Pandey presented the richness of the Bhojpuri language, its emotional depth and its contribution to society. The poems enthralled the audience and also highlighted the power of Bhojpuri literature.
Bhojpuri songs, music and dance performances were given by the local artists that captivated the audience. The entire atmosphere was filled with Bhojpuri folk songs and dance. Later letters of appreciation were given to the participants. Acting Principal Kanchan Kamini conducted the programme while Mrs. Anupriya, Art and Culture Officer, extended vote of thanks.
Bhojpuri Mahotasava 2025 proved that collective efforts are necessary to promote Bhojpuri language and its culture. Such events not only increase the identity and strength of Bhojpuri but also give the coming generations an opportunity to connect with their culture.
On this occasion, District Grievance Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer, Ara Sadar, District Information and Public Relations Officer, District Minority Officer, In-Charge Welfare Officer, District Welfare Officer, District Arts and Culture Officer, District Project Officer (Namami Gange) and other officials were present.
