Under the banner of Sri Sanatan Shaktipeet Sansthaanam, a programme was organized at Friends’ Colony to mark the 526th birth anniversary of Goswami Tulsi Das. ARA----------------------Under the banner of Sri Sanatan Shaktipeet Sansthaanam, a programme was organized at Friends’ Colony to mark the 526th birth anniversary of Goswami Tulsi Das. The programme was presided over by the exponent of Srimad Bhagwat Mahapuran and president of the Sansthanam, Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey while Vishwanath Dubey welcomed the distinguished guests and Janardan Mishra extended vote of thanks.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bharat Bhushan Pandey said that Sri Ram Charti Manas is the boat to cross the vast worldly ocean of the crooked creatures of Kalikar and Goswami Tulasi Das who revealed the twelve scriptures, is revered as the modern ‘Valmiki.’ He revealed the path to the welfare and gratefulness of all living beings and lighted and paved the bridge of devotion.
Citing the quadruped from Sri Ram Charit Manas, “kirati bhaniti bhuti bhali soi, sursari sam sb kar hit hoi” Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey said that the fame poetry and greatness or prosperity that paved the ways for all welfare and all prosperity like the sacred river Ganga are the best and the Tulsi literature meets this criteria. Each of his letters is employed and used in charity and wellness of human beings.
Reciting the couplets of Janannath Swamit, disciple of Nabha Das Goswami, the composer of the Bhaktmaal, “Valmiki Tulsi Bhaye, Shuk bahye Kabir, Raja Janak Nanak bhaye, Udbhav Sur Sharir”, Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pajndey explained that the danger of extinction of our religion and culture increased during Kalikar and the Mughal period, the visible parts God were incarnated and they flow the Ganga of devotion and strengthened religion, spirituality and culture and made it accessible to the mortals. Sri Ram Charti Manas is poetry that gives new enthusiasm, zeal and gaiety to the society and cures all depression and sorrows of life. The Tulsi literature has incorporated the entire Vedic Vangmay in it.
Inaugurating the programme, Prof Baliraj Thakur, president, Bhojpur District Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, said that the contribution of Goswami Tulasi Das is unforgettable and universal. During slavery, indentured labours went abroad with the Sri Ram Charit Mans and Sri Hanuman Chalisa from India and today their scions are ruling in those countries and increasing the pride of Indian culture.
A social worker, Shiv Das Singh said that Sri Ram Charit Manas is a character building and moral boosting epic and it should be taught from school to university level.
Organizing the programme, Madheshwar Nath Pandey said that Bhakti period is the golden period in Hindi literature and the credit goes to Goswami Tulsi Das.
