GEETA IS THE ESSENE OF ALL THE SCRIPTURES---PROF. BALIRAJ THAKUR

ARA (RNI) Geeta Jayati was organized at Badi Mathia under the presidentship of Prof. Baliraj Thakur, President of Bhojpur District Hindi Sahitya Sammelan while the Mahanth, Badi Mathia, Ram Kinkar Das Jee Maharaj inaugurated the programme. Ramesh Kumar Singh ‘Ram Prapan’ welcomed the distinguished guests while Aditya Rai Sharma conducted the meeting and Satyendra Narayan Singh extended vote of thanks.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Baliraj Thakur said that the summary of all the scriptures has been revealed in the form of the Geeta from the mouth of Lord Sri Krishna. All the misfortunes of life are eliminated by listening to the Geeta. Prof. Thakur said that all of them are in the role of Arjun. If all of us accept the teachings of the Geeta, it will pave the way for the elimination of inequality, illiteracy, injustice and unrighteousness from the society and for the all-round progress of the society. Geeta teaches us to deal with the challenges of life.

Mahanth Ram Kinkar Das Ji Maharaj said that the highest contribution of Indian wisdom to humanity is Srimad Bhagwat Geeta. Lord Sri Krishna, by His great grace, has provided the path to victory in the Mahabharata of life through Geeta. Prof. Nand Jee Dubey said that Geeta preaches to do Karma. The name of the song sung about karma is Geeta. He said that Geeta was preached in the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Shiv Das Singh said that the advice to make efforts till the last moment is the essence of Geeta. Dr. Satyanarayan Upadhayaya said that the advice of the Geeta is to continuously fight against distortions in the society.

Prominent among those who also spoke were Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey, Valmiki Sharma, Janardan Mishra, Siyaram Dubey, Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Mrinal, Pandit Devesh Agnihotri, Pandit Ajay Kumar Mishra, Pintu Singh, Vinkatesh Singh, Avinash Kumar Mishra and others.
