The sacrifices made by him cannot be compared with sacrifices of any other human being. Addressing the function organized to mark the Martyr’s Day at Bhariyar of Chakki block, Prof. Baliraj Thakur said that Gandhi Jee is a source of inspiration but today’s era does not respect the spirit of Bapu and the intention of the Constitution.
He said that we are seen divided into sections of caste, sub-caste, religion and sub-religion. A worthy person of the society surrenders before money power, muscle power and political intrigues. Describing Mahatma Gandhi as a man of the era, Prof. Thakur said that Gandhi Jee had elevated the common people of India to a very elevated level. He had given the mantra to stand fearlessly in front of every challenge. He added that the coming generation will need to understand Gandhi Jee.
Some important persons present on the occasion were Indra Deo Pandey, Dharamraj Thakur, Shiv Das Singh, Lal Bihari Singh, Janardan Singh, Dhananjay Dubey, Kailash Kunwar, Ram Niwas Singh, Ajay Thakur, Hanif Muhammad, Ayodhya Rai and others.
