GANDHI AND SHASTRI ARE THE IDEALS OF INDIA CULTURE—BHARAT BHUSHAN
Floral tributes were paid to the Father of Nation Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi on his 175th and the former Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri on his 121st birth anniversary today in a programme organized by the Bhojpur district unit of the All India Jan Sangh at the Friends’ Colony office under the presidentship of Madheshwar Nath Pandey.
ARA (RNI) Floral tributes were paid to the Father of Nation Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi on his 175th and the former Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri on his 121st birth anniversary today in a programme organized by the Bhojpur district unit of the All India Jan Sangh at the Friends’ Colony office under the presidentship of Madheshwar Nath Pandey. The leaders, politicians, professors, teachers, poets and others garlanded the portrait of Mahatma Gnadhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Nilesh Kumar Mishra welcomed the guests while Sri Bhagwan Pandey conducted the meeting and Ajit Kumar Singh extended vote of thanks.
Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Bharat Bhushann Pandey, national president, All India Jan Sangh said that Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri are the founders of high standards of ideals and morality by tying Indian politics to cultural-social roots. He said that today all the parties take the name of Gandhi Ji but are tarnishing politics by behaving completely contrary to his ideals. The dominance of directional, anarchic and opportunistic elements is increasing in the society and good people have been pushed to the margins. He further said that almost all the parties are indulged in the principle-less politics which Gandhi declared a curse. He added that Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji was the embodiment of morality, purity and ideals in power politics. The country was in great need of his leadership but unfortunately he could not remain among us. Acharya Pandey said that the country needs an Indian culture full of truth, purity, service and simplicity and the dominance of opportunistic elements is increasing and good people have been pushed to the margins. He added that the country needs grassroots workers with faith in Indian culture and theology, full of truth, purity, service and simplicity who can brighten Indian politics by initiating the ideal character of Gandhi Ji and Shastri Ji.
Advocate Satyendra Narayan Singh said that the country can be benefited only by eliminating social evils like drug addition, gambling, crime and corruption and it would be the real tribute to these great souls.
Madheshwar Nath Pandey said that Jan Sangh is active in politics in accordance with the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
