Ara, 21 June 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police succeeded in getting back Rs. 14.90 lakh of Rs. 19.90 lakh to the bank account of a retired army man. The process for getting the rest amount is on.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that Rs. 19.90 lakh was withdrawn from the bank account of a retired army man Manoj Kumar Sharma on June 7, 2023 in the name of upgrading his electric meter and the cyber criminal thus cheated him. The army man informed the Cyber Police Station (formerly known as CCSMU) through the Bhojpur SP the same day and the CCSMU lodged a complaint on the national Cyber Crime Portal. A case in this regard was also lodged with the police under Nawada police station in this regard. After institution of FIR, the police started investigating the matter. The SP said that during investigation, it came to know that the amount was credited to different bank account and the team got the fraud amount held. After that thus hold amount was credited to the bank account of the retired army man.
