FOURTH SON ALSO DIED DURING TREATMENT

ARA (RNI) With the death of Adarsh Kumar alias Aditya Kumar 10, the toll rises to four though their father Arvind Kumar has been admitted to a private nursing home where his condition is stated to be critical. The deceased were identified as Palak Kumari 5, Toni 7 and Nandini 13 and Adarsh Kumar alias Aditya Kumar 10 while the ailing person was identified as their father Arvind Kumar 40. An FIR was lodged with the police under Bihia police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter.

SHO Bihia police station said that Arvind Kumar Singh ran an electronic shop at Belwania Bazaar under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district. His wife had died last year and he had two daughters and two sons. He along with his all the four children consumed poison at Belwania village. After consuming the poison, two daughters and a son died while Arvind Kumar and one of his sons fell ill. The police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the ailing persons to a private nursing home.

Before death, Adarsh Kumar alias Aditya Kumar said that his mother had died about eight months ago and since his father was in depression but he never said anything. He said that he made delicious food for them and fed them. Later he gave one glass of milk to each of them and he himself drank one glass of milk. After drinking milk, all of them started vomiting and complained stomachache. No one was there to help them and they were squirming in the room. After some time, his cousin brother came and rushed them to the Ara Sadar Hospital. He said that Palak died in the house while Toni and Nandini died in the Hospital.

Gupteshwar Prasad, neighbour, said that after the death of his wife, Arvind Kumar was facing a lot of problems in bringing up his children. He ran an electronic shop at Belwania Bazaar where he taught them. Gupteshwar Prasad further said that he had gone to a marriage ceremony in the village and they were engaged in welcoming the guests. Meanwhile, Arvind Kumar’s nephew called him and said that his uncle and brothers and sisters are ailing and so he was taking them to Ara.

Dr. Shiv Narayan Singh, attending the ailing persons said that all the five had consumed poison and all the four sons and daughters died after consuming poison while father was still struggling for life.
