FOUR PERSONS ARRESTED FOR BURNING AN ELDERLY WOMAN ALIVE IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

Ara, 10 March 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested four persons in connection with burning an elderly woman alive at Bind Toli and Dom Toli of Suhia village under Shahpur police station. The arrested persons were identifies as Santosh Chaudhary, Govind Chaudhary alias Madari Chaudhary, Dhan Jee Chaudhary and Saroj Chaudhary alias Sadhu Chaudhary of Suhia village. s

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that Santosh Chaudhar of Suhia village was dragging Bimala Devi 56 wife of Nanhak Dom of the village in the evening on March 8, 2023and when they protested, both the groups clashed. Later in the night  Santosh Chaudhary and others set ablaze the hut in which Bimala Devi was sleeping and burnt her alive. The SP further said that he immediately formed a police team under the SDPO, Jagdishpur, Rajiv Chandra Singh. The police team swung into action and arrested four persons in this regard. The SP stated that the police are investigating the matter still.
