FOUR MISCREANTS WITH FIREARMS ARRESTED, ONE OF THEM ESCAPED FROM POLICE CUSTODY

Ara 16 Sunday 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, arrested four miscreants and recovered one country made pistol, two live cartridges, four mobiles and three looted motorcycles from the possession. The arrested miscreants were identified as Bittu Kumar of Lala Ke Tola under Badahara police station, Guddu Kumar alias Guddu Yadav of Sudhani village, Nitish Kumar of Dihari village under Udwantnagar police station and Amrit Lal of Bansi Dihari village under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Jagdishpur police station in this regard against the arrested persons and the police brought them to the Ara Civil Court to produce them before the court but one of them Nitish Kumar browbeat the police escaped from the police custody due to dereliction of duty. Police are conducting raids to arrest him and their rest associates. 

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that he got information that some miscreants assembled near a bush on the bank of Banas river under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district. He at once formed a police team under the SDPO, Jagdishpur Rajiv Ranjan Singh to arrest the miscreants. The police team conducted raid and arrested four miscreants namely Bittu Kumar, Guddu Kumar alias Guddu Yadav, Nitish Kumar and Amrit Lal and recovered one country made pistol, two live cartridges, three looted motorcycles and four mobiles from their possession. The SP said during interrogation, they confessed their involvement in several loot cases. They revealed that they had looted Rs. 30000 at pistol point near Over Bridge under Jagdishpur police station. They admitted their involvement in two loot cases under Jagdishpur police station one under Narayanpur police station, The SP further said that Guddu Kumar alias Guddu Yadav and his friend Bittu Kumar were bailed out recently and they along with their aides committed crime soon after their release from jail. The SP added that at least three cases were pending against Guddu Kumar under Udwantnagar police station already till 2020 while one under Jagdishpur police station, one under Ara town police station, one under Nawada police station, two under Gadhani police station and one under Narayanpur police station and Sandesh police station in Bhojpur district. On the other hand, one case of loot was registered under Jagdishpur police station against Bittu Kumar in 2023.
