FOUR DRUG PEDDLERS ARRESTED, 9.5 GRAM OF HEROIN SEIZED

Ara, 8 March 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested four drug peddlers from near Gausganj roundabout under Ara town police station red handed selling and purchasing Heroin and seized 9.5 gram of heroin, two mobiles and a motorcycle from them. The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Kunal Kumar, Saroj Kumar of Maner Devi Sthan under Maner police station in Patna district, Amit Kumar and Chandan Paswan of Gausganj under Ara town police station in Bhojpur district. Amit Kumar and Chandan Paswan are suppliers while Kunal Kumar and Saroj Kumar were purchasers. The police seized heroin from Kunal Kumar and Saroj Kumar. Amrjeet Paswan, brother of Chandan Paswan is also a drug peddler and is absconding arrest. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Ara town police station against all the four arrested drug peddlers and sent them to jail after interrogation.

SHO Ara town police station said that he got information that heroin and smack were being sold near Gausganj under Ara town police station. He at once swung into action and conducted raid there and arrested four drug peddlers red handed. When searched, the police seized 4.97 gram of heroin from Saron Kumar and 4.51 gram of heroin from Kunal Kumar. The police also seized two mobiles and a motorcycle from them. During interrogation, they confessed that they had purchased heroin from Amit Kumar and Chandan Paswan.
