BUXAR------------------------At least four dozen school students were injured including two dozen seriously when a school bus overturned after a collision with a dumper near Ramgarh on Buxar-Patna National Highway 922 in Buxar district. The police admitted the injured persons to the government and private hospitals.
Dumraon DSP Afaque Alam Ansari said that after the class was over, the students of a private P L Public School situated at Brahmpur in Buxar district were going to their houses in school bus. Most of students in the bus were from Upari Garhatha and Nichali Garhatha villages. As the bus reached near Ramgarh village on Buxar-Patna NH==-922, it collided with a dumper and overturned into a ditch on the roadside after turn turtled three times in which over four dozen children including the driver and the cleaner of the bus were injured. After the incident, the nearby villagers rushed to the spot and somehow took the injured out of the bus and rushed them to the nearby government and private hospitals. It was said that about two dozen children were seriously injured though the DSP said that only 10 children were seriously injured. The DSP further said that almost all the children were sent to their houses after treatment. Only a girl student who had broken her hand, has been referred to the Ara Sadar Hospital.
