Floral tributes were paid to the freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on his birth anniversary. A seminar on the occasion under the banner of All India Jan Sangh at Friends’ Colony at Ara was organized. National President, All India Jan Sangh Dr. Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey presided over the meeting while Madheshwar Nath Pandey welcomed the distinguished guests and Nilesh Kumar Mishra extended vote of thanks and Dr. Satyanarayan Upadhayaya introduced the subject.

ARA-------------------------------Floral tributes were paid to the freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on his birth anniversary. A seminar on the occasion under the banner of All India Jan Sangh at Friends’ Colony at Ara was organized. National President, All India Jan Sangh Dr. Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey presided over the meeting while Madheshwar Nath Pandey welcomed the distinguished guests and Nilesh Kumar Mishra extended vote of thanks and Dr. Satyanarayan Upadhayaya introduced the subject.

Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey said that Veer Savarkar had an important contribution in freeing the Mother India from the chains of slavery. He added that while studying law in London, Veer Savarkar who founded the Free India Society and carried out revolutionary activities, shook the very foundations of the British rule. He is a symbol of indomitable courage and loyalty who had to serve two life imprisonments and black water sentence in one life but he did not waver from his vow and patriotism. Jan Sangh considers him as an ideal great man and takes inspiration from his life and struggles to serve the country.

Prof Balraj Thakur, Chairman, Bhojpur District Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, said that Savarkar did the unforgettable work of wide-scale reform and unity of the society in the Hindu society. Despite being in jail and enduring the harsh torture of Kalapani, he composed many works in which a work like Essential of Hindutva is prominent. His poems and his literature will become sacred for today’s generation. Advocate Satyendra Narayan Singh, member of the National Working Committee of the Jan Sangh said that Savarkar while clarifying the concept of Hindutva, had said that all the people whose motherland, fatherland or holy land is India are Hindus.

On this occasion, some prominent persons like Narmdeshwwar Upadhayaya, Akhileshwar Nath Tiwari, Braj Kishore Pandey, Janardan Mishra, Vishwanath Pandey, Siyaram Dubey, Umesh Singh Kushwaha, Virendra Prasad Srivastava, Mahendra Pandey and others were also present and paid tributes.
