FLORAL TRIBUTES TO DYON OF INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC ON HIS 124TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY
Floral tributes were paid to exponent of Pakhawaz and Tabla and founder of Ara Gharana Shatrunjaya Prasad Singh popularly known as Babu Lalan Jee on his 124 birth anniversary.
ARA (RNI) Floral tributes were paid to exponent of Pakhawaz and Tabla and founder of Ara Gharana Shatrunjaya Prasad Singh popularly known as Babu Lalan Jee on his 124 birth anniversary. Musicians, businessmen, political leaders, teachers, principals and others paid their gratitude to him. A cultural programme was organized to mark his birth anniversary at his residence at Ara. The music programme was inaugurated by Kamlax Narayan Singh, grandson of Babu Lalan Jee, Neeraja, granddaughter of Lalaj Ji, their mother, Nathu Ram, former Ward Councillor, Dr. Rajiv Nayan Agrawal, Tabla player, Kalamudin, classical singer, Satish Munna, singer, Manas Ji, table player and others jointly by lighting the ceremonial candle.
The programme was started with the Saraswati Vandana Satish Munna and Manas Ji was on table and followed by Patriotic Song in chorus by Prachi Priya, Payal Priya, Jiya Sharan, Katyayani and Nisha, students of Satrunjay Sangeet Vidyalaya. Later Prachi Priya sang song in rag Darbari and Manas Ji accompanied on Tabla while Payal Priya sang a song in rag Shri. Jiya Sharan, Katyayani and Ashwi Dubey sang light classical songs from films while Satyanath was on Naal. Later Md. Kalamuddin sang songs from films and even Satish Munna sang filmy songs. All of them mesmerised the audience with the performances.
