FIVE STUDENTS ARRESTED IN DRUNKEN STAGE

Buxar, 11 February 2023, (RNI): Sleuth of Excise Department arrested five students including a girl student in drunken state from a car on the border of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh near Chausa Yadav Mor Check Post under Buxar Muffassil police station today. All the students were resident of Gajipur in Uttar Pradesh and studied in Varanasi.

Check Post-in-charge Excise Department Dilip Kumar Singh said that people entered the border of Bihar from Uttar Pradesh are frequently frisked. Today, five students including a girl student in drunken stage in a car entered the Buxar border. During interrogation, they said that they were going to a marriage ceremony in Buxar and had taken liquor at Gahmar in Uttar Pradesh. The police produced them in court and they were released after paying fine. The Excise department contacted their family members and they were struck to know about the incident and said that they lived in Varanasi for study. They also revealed that there was no marriage ceremony in anyone’s relatives and they did not know that their children were going outside Varanasi. Dilip Kumar Singh said that all the students were misleading the police and four hours of interrogation, they gave mobile numbers of their parents. He said that all the four students had taken liquor and so they were released by the court after imposing fine on them and as the girl had not taken liquor and so she was released from the check post. The transport department impost Rs. 24000 penalty on the car.
