FIVE HIGHWAY ROBBERS WITH FIREARMS ARRESTED
Kaimur police arrested five highway robbers and sent them to jail in connection with looting truck drivers. Police were searching for them for several days. The police also recovered firearms, cash and mobile from their possession.
Bhabhua, 26 March 2023, (RNI): Kaimur police arrested five highway robbers and sent them to jail in connection with looting truck drivers. Police were searching for them for several days. The police also recovered firearms, cash and mobile from their possession.
Mohania DSP Faiz Ahamad Khan said that some miscreants had looted Rs. 52000 in cash and mobile from a truck driver near Ghatav Over Bridge under Kudara police station on NH-2 on March 20, 2023 and also looted Rs. 15000 and mobile from a truck driver of Uttar Pradesh on the same place on March 23, 2023. The police arrested a miscreant on suspicion and later on his revelation, the police arrested the rest four miscreants. The arrested miscreants were identified as Mohit Kumar, Alok Ram, Arun Kumar, Shailesh Ram of Ghatav village under Kudara police station and Azad Ram of Karmahari village under Kudhani police station in Kaimur district. The police recovered Rs. 21000 in cash, one pistol, one country made pistol and two mobiles from their possession. Police are trying to know their criminal history and are also conducting raids to arrest the rest members of the gang.
