FIVE DRUG PEDDLERS ARRESTED WITH 35 PACKETS OF HEROIN WORTH ABOUT RS. 3 LAKH
Bhojpur police acting on a tip off arrested five drug peddlers of Inter-district gang and seized 35 packets of heroin worth about Rs. 3 lakh from near Toll Plaza under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district.
Ara, 13 June 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police acting on a tip off arrested five drug peddlers of Inter-district gang and seized 35 packets of heroin worth about Rs. 3 lakh from near Toll Plaza under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district. The police also seized a car. The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Dheeraj Kumar son of Ashok Singh of Rajgir-Singhaura , Akhilesh Kumar son of late Parmanand Singh of Shekhpura-Singhaura under Rajgir police station, Abhijeet Singh Rathaur son of late Kailash Singh of Karampur under Giri Chowk police station, Amit Kumar alias Rahul Raj son of Manoj Singh and Ajay Singh son of Chandra Dev Das of Singhaura village under Rajgir police station in Nalanda district.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that he got information that some drug peddlers were going to Nalanda with a big consignment of heroin in Safari. He immediately formed a police team that launched vehicle checking drive near Toll Plaza under Koelwar police station on Ara-Patna main road. The police team intercepted a Safari and when searched, the police recovered about 118.49 gram of heroin packed in 35 packets worth about Rs. 3 lakh. The police arrested five drug peddlers and the Safari. The police lodged a named FIR against them and sent them to jail after interrogation.
