ARA---------------------------The construction of pandals in Bhojpur district has been completed to a large extent for the Shardiya Navratri starting after two days. The fire department has issued a letter of instructions is to all the Puja Committees regarding construction of Pandals, arrangement of electricity, installation of chairs, arrangement of light, keeping fireproof solution in the Pandals etc.
Fire Officer, Anil Kumar Singh said that a lot of caution is needed in this so that no untoward incident occurs to the devotees. He said that suggestions and instructions are being given by the department to the Puja Committees in this regard. He said that the Pandals should not be made at the height of less than three meters, clothes and ropes made of synthetic materials should not be used, leaving four to five meters open space around the Pandals, do not construct under overhead electric wires, make a pandal at a distance of at least five meters from railway lines, electric Sub-Stations, Chimneys and furnaces. The exit gate should not be less than five meters wide and it is necessary to have at least two ways to exist, maintaining arrangement of firefighting equipment in each and every Pandal etc. Besides, Puja Committees have to install CCTV cameras and they have also take licenses for installation of pandals and processions.
