ARA-------------------------A named FIR has been lodged with the police under Nawada police station against Saroj Singh husband of Deputy Mayor, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) Punam Devi in connection with firing over a land dispute.
Vishnu Singh of Bahiro village under Nawada police station filed a named FIR with the police under Nawada police station against Saroj Singh, husband of Punam Devi, Deputy Mayor, AMC. Vishnu Singh said that he had a dispute with his relatives over a piece of land. Regarding this, Saroj Singh threatened him with dire consequences and fired on him with a view to unleash reign of terror. His water tank was damaged in the firing and he had the CCTV footage of that. The family of Vishnu Singh is living under constant fear after the firing and appealed the police to provide security to them.
Bhojpur SP Neeraj Kumar said that police are investigating the matter and even the CCTV footage is being verified. He added that the SDPO has been directed to investigate the matter and said that the guilty would not be spared.
