FIR AGAINST MAGISTRATE AND TWO LADY CONSTABLE, SEVEN POLICE PERSONNEL SUSPENDED FOR TAKING BRIBE FROM THE SAND LADDEN TRUCK DRIVER

Kaimur SP suspended seven police personnel including an ASI and lodged a named FIR with the police against the magistrate and two lady constables in connection with taking bribe sand loaded trucks.

Bhabhua, 23 June 2023, (RNI): Kaimur SP suspended seven police personnel including an ASI and lodged a named FIR with the police against the magistrate and two lady constables in connection with taking bribe sand loaded trucks. The suspended police personnel were identified as the ASI posted at Kuchhla police station Rup Narayan Rai, BMP Hawaldar Vijyendra Singh, Constables Ajit Kumar, Anita Kumari, Annu Kumari, Puja Kumari and Kriti Kumari while the FIR was lodged against the Kudara block coordinator Ravindra Kumar posted as magistrate, lady constables Annu Kumari and Anita Kumari. The Kaimur DM also wrote to the department for his suspension.

Kaimur SP Lalit Mohan Sharma said that a sand loaded truck reached Digari Check-post at Bhur from Ara on June 13, 2023 where Ravindra Kumar was posted as magistrate and two lady constables Annu Kumari and Anita Kumari were also posted at the Check Post. The magistrate asked the truck driver to part with Rs. 20,000 otherwise truck would be seized and FIR would be lodged for failure of license if payment is delayed. The driver showed inability saying that he had no money. At this the magistrate said to talk to the owner of the truck to pay through the payphone. The driver talked to the owner who agreed to the proposal of the magistrate. Adept at taking bribe, the magistrate asked the lady constable to give the mobile number of her relative and received the money on it. Later they would distribute the amount among themselves. And lady constable gave mobile number of her relative in which Rs. 18000 was transferred through the payphone and Rs. 2000 was realized in cash and the truck was released. Ajay Kumar, Bhojpur district Truck Association president met the DM and the SP and complained regarding release of truck after realizing money from the truck driver. The DM and he SP asked the DSP Saket Kumar to inquire into the matter. The DSP found the complaint right and recommended FIR against the magistrate and two lady constables and suspension of all the seven police personnel including the ASI posted at the check-post. The SP stated that on the basis of inquiry report, a named FIR was lodged with the police under Kudara police station against the magistrate Ravindra Kumar and the two lady constables Annu Kumari and Anita Kumari and suspended the ASI Rup Narayan Rai, Hawaldar Vijendra Singh, constables Ajit Kumar, Anita Kumari, Annu Kumari, Puja Kumari and Kriti Kumari.
