FIR AGAINST 45 NAMED AND 125 UNNAMED PERSONS FOR ATTACK ON POLICE FORCE POLICE ARREST SIX PERSONS SO FAR

Ara (RNI) An FIR has been lodged with the police under Agiaw Bazaar police station against 45 named and 250 unnamed persons in connection with attack on police force and also getting the liquor smugglers freed from the police custody at Khanni Kala village under Agiaw Bazaar police station on June 23, 2024. The police also arrested six persons in this regard so far. The arrested persons were identified as Guddu Kumar alias Chitranjan Kumar, Nagendra Kumar, Dasai Ram, Ravi Shankar Kumar, Pradeep Kumar alias Surya Kumar and Bhagwan Baitha of Khanni Kala village.

ASP Parichay Kumar said that the police got information in the late evening on June 23, 2024 that Sudarshan Ram along with his family members is dealing in liquor at his native village at Khanni Kala under Agiaw Bazaar police station. He at once formed a police team under the SHO Agiaw Bazaar police station Priyanka Gupta to conduct raid and arrest the liquor smuggler. The police reached Khanni Kala and arrested Sudarshan Ram and also seized 10 litre of liquor from the spot. Meanwhile, the family members of Sudarshan Ram and other villagers laced with traditional weapons and swords attacked police team and pelted with stones on them and also thrashed the police personnel with the traditional weapons in which about half a dozen police personnel including the SHO were injured. The villagers also succeeded in getting Sudrashan Ram freed from the police clutch. The ASP further said that the police lodged an FIR against 45 named and 250 unnamed persons and arrested six persons so far. He said that police are also trying to identify the rest persons involved in attack on police force and are conducting raids to arrest them.
