FEMALE COOK ACCUSED HEADMASTER OF AN UPGRADED MIDDLE SCHOOL OF MOLESTATION

ARA------------------------A female cook blamed that the Headmaster of an Upgraded Middle School at Jarovarpur village under Ara Muffassil police station in Bhojpur district molested and assaulted her in the classroom after closing its door. She alleged that the Headmaster called her inside the classroom in the afternoon and closed the door. He behaved indecently with her and when she protested, he assaulted her. After the incident came to light, uproar took place in the school. The irate villagers even thrashed the Headmaster. Both the injured were admitted to the Ara Sadar Hospital.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Headmaster of the school is a resident of Anand Nagar locality under Ara town police station while the female cook is a resident of Jarovarpur village under Ara town police station.

The female cook said that in the afternoon she was cooking food in the school kitchen. The Headmaster called her to the classroom and sent the children out. Then the Headmaster closed the class room door and started molesting her. When she protested, the Headmaster beat her with sticks. She got injured. When she raised an alarm, the villagers assembled and started creating a ruckus. The Headmaster opened the door. The villagers angry with the incident, beat up the Headmaster.

Headmaster, Rajendra Prasad said that the female cook’s son studied in the Class VI in the same school. In the afternoon, he scolded him for misbehaving and also slapped him twice. After that he went to the Anganwadi Centre and when returned after some time, he found five or six people had already had entered his office and when he reached the school, they started thrashing him without saying anything.

The Headmaster further said that a ward member from the same village keeps disturbing the school. As he had scolded the cook’s son, she, in retaliation, accused him of molestation at the behest of the ward member.

SHO Ara Muffassil police station Ashish Kumar Sah said that both the parties have given applications. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Ara Muffassil police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter.
