Father, in drunken stage, thrashed and killed his weeping minor daughter at Suraundha Colony under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district when her mother had gone to work in the village. The police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and also arrested the father.

ARA---------------------------Father, in drunken stage, thrashed and killed his weeping minor daughter at Suraundha Colony under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district when her mother had gone to work in the village. The police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and also arrested the father. The father was identified as Aditya Mahato. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Koelwar police station in this regard. Later the police sent him to jail after interrogation.
Maternal grandfather of the deceased Paras Mahato said that his daughter worked in a Potato Cold Storage and his son-in-law (damad), Aditya Mahato was in the house with his five children. He came in drunken stage to his house in the afternoon and saw his one and half a year old daughter was weeping that irritated him and he took his weeping daughter to the roof of his house where he badly beat her up. When the mother came home in the evening, the children narrated all the stories. She bought some medicines from a medial store and administered her. When she was taking her to the Ara Sadar Hospital, the innocent girl child succumbed to her injuries on way to the hospital.
SHO Koelwar police station Narottam Chandra Kumar said that Aditya Mahato a habituated drunker and he frequently indulged in quarrel and abuse in drunken stage. He thrashed his innocent daughter and killed her in drunken stage. The SHO said that the police have arrested Aditya Mahato and sent him to jail after interrogation.
