FATHER AND SON CRUSHED TO DEATH

Ara, 3 July 2023, (RNI): A speeding Scorpio crushed to death father and son duo near Amroja-Siyadih village under Chapokhari police station in Bhojpur district in the morning today. Later the villagers overturned the Scorpio and took out both of them. Later the driver of the Scorpio escaped from the scene leaving the vehicle behind. The police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and also seized the Scorpio. The deceased were identified as Sachchidanand Chaudhary 40 and his so Ashish Kumar 20 of Mohan Tola village under Piro police station in Bhojpur district. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Charpokhari police station in this regard. Police are investigating the matter. 

Sunil Chaudhary, grandfather of the deceased said that Ashish Kumar read in ITI at Dhanupura under Ara town police station and he along with his father Sachchidanand Chaudhary was going to the Government Industrial Training Institute at Dhanupura on a motorcycle to take examination in the morning today. Meanwhile, a speeding Scorpio, in its bid to overtake, knocked down the motorcycle near Amroja-Siyadih village under Charpokhari police station. Their motorcycle stuck to the vehicle and both were dragged for about 20 meters on the road. Later the villagers turned the vehicle and took both of them out of the vehicle and rushed them to Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared Ashish Kumar dead and referred Sachchinand Chaudhary to the Patna Medical College and Hospital but the family members admitted him to a private clinic at Babu Bazaar in Ara instead where he succumbed to his injuries.
