FARMERS TRAINING ORGANIZED ON SRI ANNA

ARA--------------------------Under the joint aegis of Antyodaya Chetana Mandal Ara and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhojpur, a one day farmer training programme was organized at Kulharia. The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) funded the programme. The training programme was organized on the subject of integrated nutrient management in grain production.

On the occasion, DDM, NABARD, Ranjit Sinha gave information about his departmental schemes and also said that in view of climate change. He added that the government is giving special emphasis on the cultivation of coarse grains like jowar, millet, ragi etc. Along with this, more amount of calcium, iron mineral element in found in coarse grains as compared to other grains which is also provides necessary nutritional balance.

While giving detailed information about integrated nutrition management in coarse grains, Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav, scientist, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, said that to get better production, manure and fertilizer should be used in balanced quantity. On this occasion, contemporary information was also given to prevent crop diseases and insects, pests.

Ramnath Thakur, Secretary, Antyoday Chetana Mandal, gave detailed information about marketing and value addition to the farmers. At least 50 farmers including Arun Singh, Bhola Singh, Sunil Kumar, Bachha Ram, Sujit Kumar Yadav, Mahavir Dutt Pathak were present in this programme. He also expressed his views and gave information about the benefits of this programme and expressed hope that such programmes will be organized in future also.
