Ara (RNI) On the fifth day of the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha week, organized at Moon Market at Jagdev Nagar under the auspices of Shri Sanatn Shaktipeeth Sansthanam, Bhagwatacharya Dr. Bharat Bhushan Pandey said that the earth itself takes care of us in the form of cow. God incarnated in Mathura in the form of Lord Sri Krishna but overnight came to Gokul Mahavan along with cows and served them himself. He felt pride in being called Gopal and Govind. Spilling the blood of a cow is a slur on humanity especially the followers of Sanatan Dharma. Where cow’s blood falls, no religion or ritual can be performed. He said that intoxicated with power, Devraj Indra started neglecting Lord Krishna and created great fear at Vrajmandal by causing catastrophic rains but Lord Krishna protected all the cows, Gopalas and Gokulamandal by holding the Govardhan mountain on the little finger of his one hand for seven days together. Under the leadership of the heavenly cow of Kamdhenu, Devraj Indra and all the gods anointed Lord Shri Krishna as Govind. गवां इन्द्रो गोविंदः means one who is Indra of the cow dynasty called Govind. The festival of appearance of God was celebrated among the Gopalas. Nand Baba performed the ‘jaatkarma sanskaar’ and worshipped the gods and ancestors by reciting Swastiva through Vedic Vipras.
Acharya Bhaarat Bhushan Pandey said that Manusmiti and Vedic traditions are completely followed even on the appearance of God. Proper knowledge and conduct of sixteen sanskaras is necessary for all of us. In the course of recitation of Rummini Mangal from the Srimad Bhagwat, Acharya Ji said that marriage is the most sacred sacrament which leads to the success of the life-sacrifice, praise of the lineage and prosperity of the work of the ancestors. In fact, husband and wife are like one soul in two bodies. Both remain together till salvation. Explaining the classical nature and importance of Kanyadan, he said that unless the parents formally perform Kanyadaan to the best groom, no one can touch it. He cautioned people about the distortion in marriage and marital life and emphasized on following old tradition and classical decorum.
Acharya Ji described the salvation of demons like Putana, Trinavarta, Shaktasur etc naming salvation of Yamlarjun, salvation of Vatsasur, Bakasur, Aghasur, darshan of mother in the huge form, praise of Brahma, suppression of Kali, burning of fire, abduction of rags, lifting of Govardhan, Rasleela, killing of Kansa and along with Rukmini Mangal, gave a poignant explanation of cow herding and vanshivadan at Vrindavan.
Vidya Shankar Singh, Indramani Singh, Bhola Singh, Ranju Devi, Vidyawati Devi along with the organizing committee coordinator Brij Bihari Singh, Secretary Triloki Nath Singh, Vasudev Singh, Bhuvann Singh, Brahmdev Rai, Sudhir Kumar, Vanshidhar Pandey, Prof. Ramnath Rai, Jagdeep Narayan Okjha besides hundreds of devotees worshipped the invoked deities of Savatobhadra Mandal.
