Sleuth of Excise Department and Bhojpur police jointly seized 475 cartons of India Made Foreign Liquor loaded on a truck from Bihia town at Bihia-Bihata State Highway 102 in Bhojpur district and also arrested the driver and cleaner of the truck.

ARA------------------------Sleuth of Excise Department and Bhojpur police jointly seized 475 cartons of India Made Foreign Liquor loaded on a truck from Bihia town at Bihia-Bihata State Highway 102 in Bhojpur district and also arrested the driver and cleaner of the truck. The arrested persons were identified as Hanuman Ram alias Jai Ram son of Sukhram of Guda Malani village under RGT police station of Badmer district in Rajasthan and Ramesh Kumar son of Tulasa Ram of the same village. A named FIR was also lodged against them under the new Excise Act and the police sent them to jail after interrogation.
SHO Bihia police station said that the Excise Department got information that liquor smugglers were going to Bihia via Jagadighpur Nayaka Tola Mor on Mohania-Ara NH-30. The police laid trap near Dad Bungalow at Bihia Chowk and launched vehicle checking drive. Meanwhile, a truck came from Jagdishpur and the police intercepted. When searched, the police recovered 10379 bottles of IMFL packed in 475 cartons and arrested the driver and the cleaner of the truck.
