BUXAR-----------------------------Sleuths of the Excise Department, Buxar arrested three persons from near Chausa Check-Post in Buxar district and seized India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and Rs. 96000 in cash during a vehicle checking drive.
The Chausa Check Post In-Charge of the Excise Department Dilip Kumar Skngh said that vehicle checking drive had been launched at the Chausa Check Post and the police were checking each and every vehicle coming from Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile a vehicle from Uttar Pradesh bearing registration number UP54-AU/7229 arrived at the Check Post. The police intercepted the car and when searched, the police recovered Rs. 96000 in cash and 7.5 litre of IMFL from the car. The police seized the cash, liquor and the car and arrested three persons in the car. The arrested persons were identified as Mukesh Kumar of Danapur Chaudhrna Road under Danapur police station of Patna district in Bihar, Akash Kumar Kharwar of Raipur under Chirayakot police station of Mau district and Shakti Pandey of Deva under Dularpur police station in Gajipur district in Uttar Pradesh. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Chausa police station against them and the police sent them to jail after interrogation.
