BUXAR---------------------------Buxar police seem to be in active mode in view of the parliamentary elections. Sleuths of Excise Department recovered Rs. 2.269 lakh in cash from a person near the Excise Department Check Post on Chausa-Gajipur Interstate Highway under Buxar Muffassil police station in Buxar district.
Dilip Kumar Singh, Check Post-in-Charge, said that the department had launched a checking campaign of each and every person coming to the Chausa Checking post near Yadav Mor in view of the parliamentary elections. Meanwhile, a person Shivam Gupta of Isupur under Muhammadabad police station in Gajipur district, Uttar Pradesh came and when the police searched him, the police recovered Rs. 2.269 lakh in cash from him. During interrogation, he could not reply satisfactorily about the cash. The money has been seized.
