EXCISE DEPARTMENT ARRESTED ONE LIQUOR SMUGGLER, SEIZED 4895 BOTTLES OF IMFL WORTH ABOUT Rs 60 LAKH

ARA-----------------------------Sleuth of Excise Department under the Assistant Superintendent, Excise Department, acting on a tip off, conducted raid in a house at Jethwar village under Tarari police station in Bhojpur district today and busted a liquor manufacturing unit there. The team arrested a liquor smuggler and also seized Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth about Rs. 60 lakh. The arrested liquor smuggler was identified as Arunesh Kumar Madhukar alias Giddi alias Babloo son of Mahendra Pratap Singh of Jethwar village. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Tarari police station in this regard. Later the police sent him to jail after interrogation.

Assistant Superintendent, Excise Department said that he got information that IMFL was brought in a house at Jethwar village under Tarari police station. He at once along with police force conducted raid and was surprised to see that a liquor manufacturing unit was running in the house. The Excise Team seized 4895 bottles of IMFL worth about Rs. 60 lakh, 760 liter of spirit, wrappers, emptied plastic bottles and also destroyed the manufacturing unit. The team arrested the liquor smuggler Arunesh Kumar Madhukar alias Giddi alias Babloo from the spot.
