ELDERLY WOMAN KILLED, ABOUT ONE AND HALF A DOZEN INJURED

ARA (RNI) One elderly woman was killed while about one and half a dozen persons injured when a speeding Pick-Up van overturned on road after colliding with a container on the Banahi Over Bridge under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district. Police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there. Later the doctor referred a person to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition. The deceased was identified as Dhanrajo Devi 55 wife of Dwarika Yadav of Keshopur village under Ayar police station. The injured were identified as Lalita Devi wife of Nand Jee Yadav, son Radhe Shyam Yadav, Rudal Yadav son of Vajan Yadav, Lovely Devi wife of Shiv Nath Yadav, Meera Devi wife of Ram Jee Yadav of Bimava village under Jagdishpur police station, Fula Devi wife of Laxman Yadav of Ghagha village under Bihia police station, Laxmina Devi wife of Sri Bhagwan of Araila village under Tier police station, Vijyanti Devi wife of Jag Narayan Singh of Paraura village under Agiaw Bazaar police station, Dwaraka Yadav husband of the deceased  of Keshopur village under Ayar police station in Bhojpur district, Vikki Devi wife of Mantosh Yadav of Kati and daughter Shriyanshi of village under Brahmpur police station in Buxar district.

Injured Vikki Devi said that all the persons were going to Brahmpur in Buxar district from Vimava village under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district for the tonsure ritual of Raj Babu, her nephew and son of her brother Lal Jee Yadav in the Pick-Up van. Meanwhile, the Pick-Up van collided with a gas tanker parked on roadside on the Over Bridge at Banahi village under Shahpur police station in which one elderly woman was killed and all of them were injured. She said that the doctor later referred Rudal Yadav to the PMCH in a precarious condition.
