ELDERLY PERSON KILLED WITH SHARP EDGED WEAPON

Ara, 10 July 2023, (RNI): One elderly person was killed with a sharp edged weapon at Sedaha village under Tarari police station in Bhojpur district in the night on July 9, 2023. The police recovered the body from a lane near his house in the morning today and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The deceased was identified as Hari Naraya Singh 65 son of late Guput Singh of Sedaha village. Manoj Kumar, son of the deceased is a contractor by profession. The SDPO Rahul Kumar, SHO Tarari police station Bijay Kumar along with police force reached to the spot and started investigating the matter. An FIR was lodged with the police under Tarari police station in this regard and the police are conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. Reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.

SDPO Rahul Kumar said that Hari Narayan Singh, after taking meal, was going to his new house in the village in the night on July 9, 2023 when someone attacked him from behind with sharp edged weapon and escaped from the scene. In the morning today, the villagers saw his body in the lane and raised alarm. They also informed the police. Dog squad and FSL team have been requisitioned for the investigation. The SDPO stated that personal enmity might be the reason behind the incident.
